Tell me honestly: does your garden still meet your needs? Maybe you are not completely satisfied with how your garden looks. There are several good reasons for this and at StukArt Gardens we hear them often. When we ask our landscapers and gardeners, we come up with these top 3 most common reasons to choose a different garden design:
All good reasons to choose a new garden and you may recognize your own situation. However, what many people then encounter – and perhaps you too – is that they know they want a new garden, but have no idea what it should look like. Do you already have a design for your dream garden?
Fortunately, you don’t have to figure this out yourself. That is where the specialists of StukArt Gardens come in. Because building a garden requires not only a good idea, but also knowledge, passion and craftsmanship. Our previous projects can serve as a source of inspiration. In this blog we would like to show you some surprising gardens designed and laid out by StukArt Gardens using concrete examples from practice. Feel free to be inspired!
It is a dream of many people: a private pool in the backyard. Often, however, it remains just a dream. People think that it is not possible at all or that having a pool involves an enormous amount of work. But neither of these are true!
A client approached StukArt Gardens with the desire for a swimming pool with matching lounge area. Matching the house, it had to have a sleek design, but just as important was that the pool was natural and required less maintenance than an “ordinary” pool. So our landscapers quickly came up with the idea for an ecological swimming pond.
If constructed properly, an ecological swimming pond is able to keep itself clean. One way this happens is through the natural filter of a reed bed. Moreover, another great advantage is that you do not need chemicals to keep your pool clean.
The straight lines of the swimming pond in the design of StukArt gardens fit perfectly with the architecture of the house. We have also adapted the rest of the garden and the image-defining “lounge pit” accordingly. The sunken location of the lounge area makes the straight lines of the design stand out even more. It is a modern ode to the classic lounge pit of yesteryear.
Do you feel that your home does not yet have the garden it deserves? A garden that completely matches the style of the house and where inside and outside seem to blend together almost seamlessly? Then it is good to know that you can also contact the specialists of StukArt Gardens with such a question.
Indeed, we received this question from a homeowner in Hoogmade. This family was living in their restored farmhouse to their complete satisfaction, yet something was still missing: the garden did not actually fit the farmhouse. In addition, it had to be a family-friendly design where everyone in the family could relax and enjoy the outdoors to their hearts’ content.
To match the appearance of the farmhouse, our landscapers chose different materials and borders with plants. The bulbous plane trees on the terrace not only provide shade, but also fit in perfectly with the appearance of the farmhouse. To provide natural shade on the lawn as well, we planted rooftop plane trees.
That when you think of a farm you do not have to think only of a traditional Dutch look, we show in this garden with an Asian-inspired corner where it is nice to relax. The robust jacuzzi has been placed here so that splashing with water is no problem at all for this part of the garden in which water has been given an important role. Finally, the low fence ensures that the occupants of the house have a wide view of the surrounding landscape. With this farmyard garden, home, garden and surroundings are completely in balance with each other.
The Netherlands is a densely populated country and that automatically means that not every home has a large garden. Especially in a city like Amsterdam, there are numerous city gardens that are often no larger than a few square meters. Unfortunately, it is often wrongly thought that these types of gardens are too small to be put to good use. This is absolutely not the case! And we are happy to show you what you can do with a small city garden.
When designing a small garden, we always use a number of principles. In terms of paving, it is smart to choose a large format of tiles. This makes the garden optically look a lot larger. In addition, we always listen carefully to the wishes of our customers and we do not shy away from limiting ambitious plans. After all, you can expect perfect advice and design from StukArt Gardens.
This automatically means that we also take into account sun and shade in your city garden. We also make a lighting plan and choose plants that will look great in a smaller garden. You can see what this can ultimately look like in our examples of city gardens that we have previously built.
We hope we have excited you with these different types of gardens. In our overview of projects you will of course find many more beautiful examples. Feel free to be inspired by these when thinking about your new garden, but also do not hesitate to contact us. We like to think along with you and our landscapers will make your garden wishes come true. Will you soon be sitting in your dream garden? Well if it is up to StukArt Gardens!
